Description
Beautiful and strong antique linen dress, over 230 years old… Early regency period, but it’s also possible this dress is from the 1700s? It’s in very strong and even wearable condition? Definitely museum worthy! This dress should be worn or displayed off shoulder.
There is a little damage on one shoulder. There are also amazing restorations to be seen at the back of the skirt and the back of the left sleeve. These are made with mint green wool little and with amazing hand embroidered antique applications.
The back has hooks and eyes, and both sleeves have hooks and loops closures.
This dress has been worn, and there are some faded stains, and all over yellowing from storage. This gives the dress a beautiful patina, as expected with such a very old historical piece. The floral mint blue embroidery work is gone on several places.
